The Rose Theatre Exhibition– Bankside, London
Opens September 2008
TPD were asked to co-ordinate and project manage a permanent exhibition
installation at the historic Rose Theatre site, located next to the
current Globe Theatre.
Using updated technology, blue screen filming and CGI rendering, we
have created a “Peppers Ghost” installation, in conjunction
with Bill Dudley and Paul Marcus showing filmed excerpts of Marlowe’s
work once again performed within his original theatre dating back
to the 1500’s by a leading A list cast.

Old Billingsgate Market & The Ministry of Sound
August 2007
TPD were asked to venue find and manage this launch event for Helsinki
based creative company, Contra Integrated Creative Services.
Playing host to an invited international press audience over two days,
we created a lively environment on three floors of the Old Billingsgate
Market to launch a new range of handsets, accessories and music and
gaming software applications. These included a theatre style auditorium,
VIP rooms and meeting areas, mobile offices and subterranean areas
which explored all of the new products capabilities, making headline
news.

The event then moved onto the Ministry of Sound for the after party,
with headline band Maroon 5 playing to the select audience, followed
by top DJ’s Giles Peterson and Joey Negro.
The following day, saw a bespoke hospitality package that toured London’s
famous music and sporting sites in keeping with the now launched products
theming, finishing with a tour and lunch at the new Wembley stadium. |
Tower Bridge Hilton Hotel Opening Party

TPD provided technical design, event management and production
services for an exciting and unique opening party of the
Tower Bridge Hilton Hotel for 500 guests incl. bespoke entertainment
and a performance of the Blue Man Group.

The Magic Circle Centenary Celebrations
Royal National Hotel

TPD worked closely with The Magic Circle to create a three day conference
spread over three venues at the Royal National Hotel to celebrate
100 years of The Magic Circle. The main area was a theatrical space
for international magicians to perform over three nights with two
adjoining spaces for conference and presentations during the day.

Miss Selfridge Autumn/Winter Collection Fashion Show

In conjunction with Warm Rain Ltd, TPD were asked to coordinate a
fashion show for ‘Miss Selfridge’ at The Wallace Collection
in central London
Combining Warm Rain’s creative vision with TPD’s technical
resources, we turned the traditional fashion show on its head and
provided classical musicians perched on podiums high above the audience’s
heads along the length of the catwalk.

A13 Wrap Party
City Hall, London LANS, February 2005
TPD were asked to production manage the wrap party to celebrate the
A13 Artscape: an idea for transforming the A13. Using the masterplan
for the scheme originally devised by lead artist Tom de Paor, this
plan took advantage of programmed road works to involve artists in
a wide range of schemes including large scale artist-designed landscapes,
major light works, new sculptural commissions, street furniture, artists
residencies and community projects.
A13 wrap party and exhibition took place at City Hall.

Ice Party

In conjunction with Warm Rain Ltd, TPD were asked to coordinate an
extravagant and decadent ‘Ice Party’ at 33 Portland Place:
a Christmas party for a private client.
Combining Warm Rain’s creative vision with TPD’s technical
resources, this W1 Regency venue was transformed into an ultra cool
venue reminiscent of a deserted home in revolutionary Russia. A sumptuous
feast and an ice bar lent credence to falling snow and snow drifts
as guests chilled out!

Wales Millennium Centre Royal Gala & Honours Night
at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff

TPD were invited to production manage the Royal Opening Celebrations
of one of the country’s newest and most advanced arts spaces:
the Wales Millennium Centre. Broadcast live by the BBC, the celebrations
started on Friday evening with international stars and performers
such as Dame Shirley Bassey and Dame Gwyneth Jones. On Saturday, a
full programme of events culminated in a fantastic firework display
in the evening by the acclaimed Groupe F.
The Official Opening Gala on Sunday was attended by Her Majesty the
Queen, Prince Phillip, and the Prince of Wales. The Royal Ballet and
the Kirov Ballet, WNO, Michael Ball and Jonathan Pryce to name but
a few, opened the building with a gala of music, movement and drama.

Green Heart Partnership Launch

The launch of the Green Heart Partnership announced the start of a
three year programme celebrating arts and culture in Hertfordshire
showcasing arts organisations. Five public art sculptures or monuments
were selected to feature within the launch. Multi media commissions
made of a series of performances, arts installations, dance, video
projections, story telling and other events ‘animated’
the selected public art sculptures. Promoting the ambitions of Green
Heart and its relationship to arts and environmental services within
local authorities, the programme engages with communities, via partnerships
with the youth service, education, community development and voluntary
organisations. TPD were asked to production manage the launch of this
partnership.

N-Gage QD Summer Promotional Tour

The N-Gage QD 2004 summer tour took place in 11 UK cities as part
of another successful European tour. Largely following the same guidelines
as the 2003 tour, TPD managed to site the mobile gaming roadshow in
some great new locations, and some of the old favourites. Again all
logistics, technical support and promotional staff were supplied and
looked after by TPD as in the previous year.

Nokia Mobile Experience Day

TPD were asked to find two suitable venues for the Nokia Mobile Experience
truck to park in the centre of London and Paris, for an unusual presentation
from Nokia to their clients, promoting new technology from within
the custom built truck. Once sited, the truck opens out into a large
meeting room complete with its own network and presentation systems.
A full programme of demonstrations and seminars were held within the
truck throughout the day, complemented by hospitality rooms and meeting
facilities at adjacent 5star hotels. TPD also organised all accommodation
and travel for Nokia’s delegates.

The Peugeot/ Oxo Design Awards
Coin Street Community Builders, September 2003
TPD worked with Coin Street Community Builders to erect a
large ESS Superstructure next to the OXO Tower on London’s South
Bank to host this year’s award. The transparent superstructure
allowed panoramic views of the Thames through the internally lit framework.
TPD were asked to design two layouts within the structure for two
separate events, firstly for the Awards ceremony and then a memorial
service for a partner of the architectural practice responsible for
the gentrification of the OXO Tower and surrounding buildings.
A VIP “after party” was organized in conjunction with
the Peugeot Design Awards in The Barge house at the rear of the Oxo
tower, full on-site security, catering, furniture, lighting, sound
and AV were all provided throughout by TPD.

N-Gage Promotional Tour,
Nokia Mobile Phones,
August and September 2003
TPD were the UK producers for this promotional tour. Two consecutive
tours covered virtually every major city in Europe, promoting the
new interactive gaming handset, the N-Gage. Using a custom built truck
to promote the new handset, TPD were set the task to find 2 London
sites and 6 others in the UK. Armed with a team of promoters supplied
by TPD, we invaded the major shopping and pedestrian areas around
the UK that gave our client the footfall, target audience and retailer
proximity they wanted.

We provided full logistics to all of the locations including security,
power, internet access, local promoters and support from both our
office and on-site. The tour ended with the highest ranking players
from each country coming head to head in Paris for a grand finale.

TPD are able to offer event and party design with branding, staging,
lighting and video installation for HCP to achieve a very different
feel to the launch party every year. We are able to work closely with
the sponsors to achieve a different approach to each year’s
event, set within some of London’s premier party locations.
The party is filmed every year by MTV for one of their tailored programmes.

TPD were asked to design and manage a Christmas party for this Turkish
based company at Wilton’s Music Hall, a very unique venue near
to the city. The evening had full programme of events including a
show, speeches and canapés. TPD dressed the venue using drapes,
lighting, candles and flambeaux.

this impressive atrium in the city to launch a new internet banking
company. We also provided catering, drinks and full technical support
